SlabON®


Technology

 is an innovative technology that produces a sheet-type large tissue structure composed only of cells.

 Technology creates these structures by molding cells obtained through in vitro culture into a desired shape

and then treating and culturing them with two types of organic polymers used as pharmaceutical excipients.

 Technology can be easily applied to various cells, including stem cells. By controlling the interaction of cells and extracellular matrix, large-sized aggregates of cells can be prepared without scaffolds.

While the size of a conventional spheroid is about 150~200㎛ in diameter, a sizable biological tissue structure at the cm level can be produced with  Technology. We are continuously conducting research to develop transplantable and clinically effective biological tissue structures.

Akrocell Biosciences plans to advance and utilize  Technology to develop advanced biopharmaceuticals

and produce large-sized organoids and artificial organs in the future.
